I have never made a hat before. It was easy. A bit too easy - whilst I was making it I was thinking OK, when do I stuff up, but nope, it went fine.
It is made out of the stripey hessian that I got a metre of and was going to make as many things out of it as I could. Now I have a little bit of scrap left.
This is going to be my gardening hat. It is from a Butterick 1992(5948) pattern found in the op shop for 50c.
My daughter has named the hat Princess Mary.
This is part of the garden that will be tended to - in the hat.
