the end of October already

I went good there for a while at the beginning of October posting everyday , alas, running out of puff. I sort of run out of things to do and say. Not to worry.
My latest hit. Polished cotton and three metres of lurrvve.

I have one skirt half finished and one dress cut out, sitting on my dining room table, and I'm off to Adelaide for while. I guess it will be still waiting for me when I get back.

mushrooms

Pipped at the post again by my fabric nemesis. She left me these six pieces of delightful little tidbits. Bless her.

TSK brown indeed.

enough already

I very nearly stalked someone yesterday. I was 'shopping' when I spied a woman walking around with an armload of brightly coloured fabric. She had obviously gotten to the remnant table just minutes before me and gotten her excitable haul.
I followed her to the counter, this is when the thoughts of stalking entered my mind, just in time to see her fill her green recycling bag full of yummy material and a graphic flower tablecloth to boot.
I was going to strike up a conversation with her but then thought the better of it. She might have thought I was some crazed fabric addicted beatch. Had that happen before, maybe I scare them off with the dripping saliva.
She was gracious enough to leave me this though.

Cannot complain.

I LOVE FABRIC, I REALLY DO

This excites me.

It matches with fabric that is in this quilt I found last year. There must have been a range of this green material back in the 70's or whenever.

I've got these down to prodution line time now. For my sister.

FATE A COMPLI

Have been collecting these fat quarters for a few months with the intention of one day making a another quilt. I just don't know when to stop. The deal was sealed yesterday when I found

this large sheet for the backing (at the os). I grabbed it, thought yes this is what Ive been looking for, then put it back because the price tag was rather more than I would usually pay for an old sheet (what is that?) Geez, tighter than a fishes bum.

SCOOBY COATHANGERS

A satisfying shopping trip on Saturday yielded these coat hangers. I already have a few of these and happy to add to my collection.
Fine craftsmanship or womanship I think.

A happy dance was performed (on the inside) when I found this. A one metre piece of fabric. I may make a skirt out of this, then again I may just add it to the stash, pull it out every couple months, drool and paw over it.

MIXED MESSAGE

I found this cot sized quilt the other day at the o.s.

It is handmade by someone a while ago I'd say. Made me laugh, no not laugh, slight guffaw. Angry koalas (or bears). 'Grrrrrrr'
Check out the caravan - its wild.

It has love hearts for leaves.
Not sure if it has an Australian feel to it or not. That looks like a platypus in the middle. It has me perplexed and amused.
